An EHCP is a legally binding document. Most parents apply themselves; the school does not need to agree.
Take the question sheet. Take notes. Send a follow-up email with what was agreed and the dates. This is not adversarial — it is how decisions become real.
Specific examples beat general statements. Two weeks of observation notes from home, plus anything from school, is usually enough to start.
Quiet space at break, ear defenders, visual timetable, leaving class two minutes early. These do not need an EHCP.
