About Safe Space Autism

A calm, practical guide for families navigating autism — built from lived experience.

Why this site exists

Most autism information online sits at one of two extremes: clinical documents written for professionals, or influencer content optimised for engagement. Neither is much help to a parent at a kitchen table at 11pm trying to figure out what to do next.

Safe Space Autism is built to fill that gap — calm, practical, specific, honest. It is written by a parent of two autistic children with high support needs, reviewed against official UK sources, and tested against the question: would this help me at 11pm?

What this site is NOT

  • — Not medical advice, legal advice, or therapy.
  • — Not a replacement for a clinical assessment or your child’s clinicians.
  • — Not an influencer brand. No personal photographs of our children.
  • — Not monetised through ads or sponsored content.
  • — Not US-centric. Built for UK families and UK systems.
